I am a Microbiology and French major here at Oklahoma State University. I am involved in many organizations on campus, including the Cowboy Marching Band. Of the many things I care dearly, music holds a sacred place in my heart alongside writing. I developed a passion for writing when I was around eight years old when I began writing short skits whilst hiding underneath the clothes in the closet of my childhood home. I never really took the initiative to pursue writing as something serious until my biological father told me that he used to want to be a writer. Ever since then, writing has been a delightful hobby of mine and I plan to continue to take writing and literature classes at OSU as I would like to one day publish a book of poetry. Until then, I will be working on getting my bachelor’s degree and applying to med school to become a cardiothoracic surgeon as I hope to one-day serve individuals living in developing nations with the Doctor Without Borders program.
